Wimbledon School of English is widely known as the UK’s leading English language school.

We have been ranked number one out of all British Council-accredited language centres (EL Gazette magazine rankings based on British Council inspection results) every year since 2014.

We offer a wide range of English courses and flexible delivery options, including online flexible training (one-to-one and closed group courses) as well as school-based options for both our part-time evening and afternoon courses and our full-time courses. We provide courses for every need, including teacher training, pre-sessional programmes, university preparation, specialist programmes for professionals such as doctors, nurses and lawyers, examinations such as IELTS and Cambridge, and exciting programmes for juniors or general English language improvement. We also offer training for English language examinations, including IELTS, Cambridge, OET (for health professionals) and TEA/TEAC (for pilots), all taught by our highly dedicated and experienced trainers.

Founded in 1964, WSE has been established for over 60 years and is one of the oldest EFL schools in the UK. We are located in a beautiful building with a large garden, right in the centre of Wimbledon, three minutes from the station and only 20 minutes from Central London.
