There are some London evenings that stay with you long after the music stops, the lights go out and the boat has finally returned to the pier.
Our EUK London Summer Boat Party was certainly one of them.
On Friday 14th August 2026, 101 students from schools across London came together for an evening of music, laughter, new friendships and unforgettable views of one of the world’s most iconic cities – all from the River Thames.
But this event was about much more than simply having a great night.
It was a wonderful example of what can happen when our EUK London member schools work together, support one another and share the same belief: that international students deserve not only a high-quality educational experience, but also the opportunity to enjoy, discover and truly feel part of London.

One of the things we are particularly proud of at EUK London is the fantastic spirit of cooperation between our member schools.
Although each school has its own identity, team and students, there is a real sense that we are all part of something bigger.
And events like the EUK London Summer Boat Party are a perfect demonstration of that.
Students from different schools stepped on board as individuals – and very quickly became one big international group, sharing stories, taking photos, dancing, laughing and making memories together.
For us, this is what London is all about.
It is a city where people from different countries, cultures and backgrounds meet every day. A city where new friendships can begin unexpectedly, where languages are heard on every street corner and where everyone can find their own little place.
And, perhaps more importantly, a city that welcomes everyone with open arms.
There was something particularly special about seeing London from the water.
As the boat sailed along the Thames, students had the chance to see some of the city’s most recognisable landmarks from a completely different perspective.
The skyline, the lights, the bridges, the river and the incredible energy of London created the perfect backdrop for an evening that many of our students will hopefully remember for years to come.
For some, it may have been their first time seeing London at night from the Thames.
For others, it may simply have been another wonderful experience in a city they are slowly making their own.
Either way, it was a reminder of why studying in London is about so much more than what happens inside the classroom.
It is about living the experience.
It is about meeting people.
It is about discovering new cultures.
It is about becoming more confident, more independent and more open to the world.
And sometimes, it is simply about standing on the deck of a boat with friends, looking at London and thinking: I’m really here.

Events like this don’t happen without people behind the scenes who genuinely care.
A very big and heartfelt thank you goes to Kellen and Zach from Islington Centre for English, who went above and beyond to support our students throughout the evening.
They helped students, looked after them during the event and made sure everyone was safe, comfortable and having an amazing time whilst on board.
Their presence and support made a real difference and perfectly reflected the spirit of cooperation that we value so much within EUK London.
Thank you, Kellen and Zach!
For international students, moments like these can become some of the most memorable parts of their time in the UK.
Years from now, they may not remember every lesson they attended or every vocabulary exercise they completed.
But they are very likely to remember the people they met, the friendships they made, the laughter they shared and that unforgettable evening cruising along the Thames with London shining around them.
And that is the beauty of studying in London.
Dreams can start in a classroom – but they come to life outside it.
At EUK London, we believe that by working together, our member schools can create experiences that are bigger, richer and more meaningful for students from all over the world.
The Summer Boat Party was one more example of that.
Together, we make absolutely great things happen.
And London?
Well, London continues to do what London does best: welcome the world.
We have put together the photos from the EUK London Summer Boat Party so that students, schools, friends and everyone who joined us can relive the memories.

And we would absolutely love to see your students’ own photos too!
If they have pictures or videos from the evening that they would like to share, ask them to post them on social media using the hashtag:

We’ll be keeping an eye out and sharing some of our favourites on the EUK London social media channels.
Because the best memories are even better when we share them together.
Thank you to everyone who made the EUK London Summer Boat Party possible – and, most importantly, thank you to all the students who brought their smiles, energy and enthusiasm on board.
Here’s to more evenings, more memories, more friendships and more moments where we can show the world just how special London can be.
