Avalon School of English celebrated its 20th birthday in 2012. The school is accredited by the British Council and enjoys a fantastic central location next to Leicester Square, Soho and Covent Garden. Many of London’s most popular tourist attractions are within easy walking distance.

The school has its own speaking method called ‘Quantum’. Avalon students usually attend speaking classes for two hours per day, plus one to two hours of complementary General English, Grammar, Exam Preparation or Business English classes.

The Quantum English method is updated regularly so that students learn natural speech in a modern context. As well as having a first degree and a CELTA qualification, all Avalon teachers are specially trained to deliver these fast, interesting speaking classes which focus on pronunciation and correcting errors.

The school offers exam preparation classes all year round, including IELTS, FCE, CAE and TOEIC. Avalon is an authorised test centre for TOEIC and BULATS (Cambridge Business English Certificate).

Students can start classes any Monday. Accommodation is provided with carefully selected homestay families, in student residences and in private shared student houses. The school has a full and varied social events calendar, including parties, guided walks, museum visits and tours outside London. We also arrange regular weekend trips to Paris and Amsterdam.
