Brunel University is a modern and dynamic campus-based university that provides a broad range of academic programmes and a world-class education for its 15,000 students from 110 countries.

As part of Brunel International, the International Pathways and Language Centre (IPLC) provides a number of English language courses suitable for students wishing to improve both their general and academic English language skills.

These courses include an Intensive Pre-sessional programme that runs during the summer from three to 20 weeks (depending on each student’s individual English level). These courses are designed to improve students’ academic English skills prior to their studies. For students who wish to combine both general and academic English we also provide a year-round programme, [email protected], with flexible start dates (in August, September, October, January and February). Students can attend these alone, or as preparation for an academic course at Brunel University.

We also run short courses over the summer for groups of adults or professional groups. These are bespoke programmes, and we can provide a timetable to match group needs.

The programme can include general and academic English as well as English for specific purposes, plus a social programme to popular UK destinations to combine English language study with experience of life in the UK.

As part of our English language programmes we also provide an excellent and fun social programme. This offers students the opportunity to see some of the beautiful and interesting sights that the UK has to offer and to practise their English in a fun and friendly environment and make new international friends.
